About Our Parish

St. Anthony

St. Anthony Catholic Church, situated in the town of Lismore, Minnesota in Nobles County, is a beautiful, twin-spired church. Its 85-foot steeples are the focal point of this rural farming community. The people are descendants of a hard-working mixture of Irish and German pioneers.

In 1905, Father Joseph Zahner had the plans laid for St. Anthony's.  Volunteer parishioners and Father Mathias Graeve completed most of the work on the building.  The first Mass was celebrated on Thanksgiving Day 1911.

St. Anthony is part of a 4-parish cluster that includes the churches of St. Adrian, St. Kilian, and Our Lady of Good Counsel.  Visitors and new members are always welcome to come and worship at the parish.
